New Born Screening

The New Born Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization (H.R. 1281) needs to be passed during THIS session of congress which is quickly coming to a close.  NBS saves the lives of children with Galactosemia by notify parents and doctors a new born may have Galactosemia and needs to be put on a safe formula until more conclusive tests can be performed.  A high percentage of babies (75%) who are not quickly diagnoses DIE from e.coli sepsis or another complication that could have been prevented with treatment.  PLEASE take a minute to call your state senators and ask them to get this passed NOW.
